Sprains of Any Kind

Moms says for sprains of any kind:
- Ice on and off for 24 hours
- Ibuprofen x2 (for adults), every 12 hours as needed but especially the first 24 hours so it can reduce swelling to promote healing. Men often won’t take pain meds, thinking they are supposed to tough it out; but, if you help them understand that it reduces inflammation and speeds healing; then, it makes more sense.
- Wrap and elevate when possible
- May use heat after 24 hours
