Prayer for the Tired

I’m so tired today, Lord.  So much pain, so much burden in this world:  The friend’s son attacked to unconsciousness at school, the Syrian chemical attack and missle strike, the changing unknown of a loved relatives situation and the stress that may cause.    The enemy was so attacking our sleep last night, but at least You and I got some good prayer time together.

Today,  Lord, I declare

Isaiah 40:28-31  Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God,   the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint,   and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary,and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength;   they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary;   they shall walk and not faint.

I and my family will not faint today Lord.  You are an everlasting God and I declare your strength over our lives.  Breathe into us today, Father.  Breathe into us the strength to do your pleasing and perfect will today.  Breathe into us strength and joy that we may serve you selflessly and not for our own gain.  This is a new Season and we thank you.  Thank you for your faithfulness.

The time of the thickets is upon us ( “If you have run with footmen and they have tired you out, Then how can you compete with horses? If you fall down in a land of peace, How will you do in the thicket of the Jordan?  Jeremiah 12:5).

Father, we declare your mighty power in, over and through our lives so that we may run this race in a manner worthy of the calling You have given us, Colossians 1:10 so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.

Thank for the energy for today, Daddy.  Thank you for your power, your sovereignty, for calling us to return and for purifying your Bride.  Pull the weeds out of our lives, Lord.  Lead us in the way everlasting today, Abba.  Make us look like You.  Make us reflect your glory today.  Make our words be your words.  We put our emotions, our reactions and our desires on the altar.  They are a gift to You today.  Use them however you wish.  We submit to you.  We surrender to You.  Magnify the Glory of Your presence in our lives.
