How the Lord Cured Lactose Intolerance
This is NOT medical advice. This is life experience from those I trust and love who have been through similar situations. The point of these articles is to capture them for our own use and to share in case they help you on your journey.
Somewhere along the way, I became lactose intolerant. Then, after not eating dairy products for a few years, my calcium dropped so low that my heart rhythm got out of whack.
I was taking calcium supplements but was battling bowel problems and chose to stop taking all supplements until it got worked out. This left me sick and tired a lot.
This is simply my testimony of how to be cured from lactose intolerance, I’m not saying it works for everyone, but it worked for me.
We lived in an area that was quite friendly to natural living, raw milk being one of those things. Raw milk is unpasteurized milk. It can be bought directly from dairies that are selling to the milk producers so each farm is undergoing testing for bacteria, etc. In some states you have to be part of a cow-ownership co-op to do this. As raw milk has all the good bacteria intact, it can fight off bacterias that pasteurized milk cannot.
Our family drinks a gallon of milk in about 3 days. I was just drinking my part, not the whole gallon. During the first gallon, my intestines were a little off. There was a lot of rumbling going on. I actually wondered if raw milk was worse for me; but, by the second gallon everything had calmed down. I mean everything. No longer was I lactose intolerant. I could then go in public and eat regular ice cream or drink milk or yogurt and have NO problems whatsoever. It’s been about 4 years now and I go back and forth between regular store bought milk and raw milk. Any time I start having problems with the store bought milk, I make the trek to the dairy and get a couple of gallons. It works like a charm.
The dairy we use has Jerseys. Jersey’s have the most protein but also a lot of fat. So, either, you’re basically drinking heavy cream or you have to pour off the fat which doubles the cost of the milk you drink since you are only drinking half of the gallon. I can’t seem to get it to turn into butter but that may be because I freeze the milk since we are about 60 miles from the dairy.
Good luck and I hope this works as well for you as it did for our family.
